I started to question myself as a trans artist if I should always address issues of gender, sexuality, and my transsexual identity in my work. During the quarantine, I found suspended all the guidelines related to sexuality and gender issues in the art world, issues that are the main axis of my artistic process. I then decided to dedicate myself to the formal process of the relationship between pink and blue colors and their entire spectrum, carried out in the domestic environment of my house, choosing those shapes and dimensions that fit my home. I turned my attention only to such relations of form, color, and temperature, especially with blue and pink as the engine. In this way I propose with this, “Essay for the encounter of pink with blue”, an experiment of decanting the “Countersexual Forms”, which are very present and characterize my object production, in pure forms, large spaces of color, geometric relations that they flirt with neoconcretism, and an even broader view of gender issues, and even more universal than those I have been presenting so far. My concern is with the future of gender representations within the visual arts. How, in the plasticity of the materials, to print these issues in a way that does not seem pamphlet, so as not to lose sight of interesting and somewhat pleasant relationships to be researched, such as the formal relationships of color, light, temperature and shapes. As a trans artist, I am always very attached, and the public expects my body, my image and my life to be always present, so that I sometimes feel hostage to my artistic process, without being able to expand my knowledge in the field of visual arts. My interests as an artist go far beyond issues related only to gender and sexuality. As an artist I want to be concerned with formal issues, too. Seek universal representations when possible. Being able to talk about other and diverse subjects. This exhibition project is a proposal, an essay, which does not lose sight of the genre, does not give up my research for good, but brings in the relationship of pink and blue my story, and also the creative freedom of purely formal experimentation plastic. An exercise in experimenting without losing the “thread of the skein”.
